Nathan Fulton - Winemaker

Starting out as a cellar hand with Ladbroke Grove in 2011, Nathan developed a keen interest for all thing winemaking. To further grow his passion for wine, he began studying at Charles Sturt University. After completing years of work and study, he completed his degree in Wine Science in 2021. Since then, he has continued to work at Ladbroke Grove and implement his skills. Having grown up in Penola, Nathan is close to the community and is looking forward to helping Coonawarra continue to grow and evolve.

Sean Murphy - Senior Winemaker/Winery Manager

Growing up amongst the vines in the Padthaway wine region, the lure of a career in the wine industry was always present. After spending a number of years actively involved in the family vineyard and viticultural businesses throughout most major wine regions, the thought of venturing into winemaking proved too strong. An introduction into winemaking began in Mount Benson in 2003 whilst studying Wine Science at Charles Sturt University. In 2005 a move was made to Coonawarra, and Sean commenced winemaking with Ladbroke Grove at the beginning of 2010. Sean has been a long-term committee member on our Limestone Coast Wine show, as well as actively judging on the wine show circuit. Sean is actively involved in several other local wine industry related associations as well.

Corey Shadbolt - Vineyard Manager

Originally hailing from a New Zealand dairy farming family and having a natural affinity with the land, Corey (Or Coz) found himself in Australia in the late 90’s working a vintage job that turned into a lifelong affiliation with the wine industry and Coonawarra in particular. After working at several different vineyards in the region, Coz found himself joining Ladbroke Grove in 2012. His skills in logistics and making things work has proved invaluable, especially with the management of vineyards and fruit purchases from other regions over the years.
