Ladbroke Grove Winning Wines

We were lucky enough to score the White Wine of Provenance Trophy for our Ladbroke Grove Wines Riesling at the recent Limestone Coast Wine Show. This trophy is awarded to the top performing set of three wines of the same label across three different vintages.

The first wine must be a current vintage, the second wine must be at least 5 years older and the third wine 10 years older. Ladbroke Grove Wine’s winning set comprised the 2016, 2010 and 2005 vintages of the Riesling. We are honoured to accept this very special accolade and believe that it confirms Ladbroke Grove Wines status as one of the most consistent, top performing producers of quality white wine from Coonawarra.

Winning the coveted Wine of Provenance trophy is a huge achievement for any winery as it is the only award which judges three wines together, not just one individual wine. The Trophy is designed to recognise and celebrate wines of exceptional consistency of style and quality over time. It celebrates wines with a sense of place and an ability to age and improve in bottle.

The 2010 Riesling also picked up another gold medal in the museum class at the show but was beaten (by a red) for Museum wine of show by only a few votes.
